Do THC topicals get you high?
Balms, gels, and sticks rubbed into the skin are not expected to produce a high, because very little THC passes through intact skin into the bloodstream. They are used for a local effect where they are applied. This is different from transdermal patches, which are engineered to reach the bloodstream; none are in this collection.

Topicals Questions, Answered
Balms in jars or tins, a water-based gel, and a solid stick that applies like deodorant. Balms are the richest and slowest to absorb; gels feel lighter and dry faster; sticks are the least messy for hands and travel. All are applied to skin and none are meant to be eaten or vaporized.
The ratio of THC to CBD in the formula, in the order written. A 1:1 balm has equal amounts; a product labeled THC Rich has more THC than CBD and one labeled CBD Rich the reverse. Because topicals act on the skin rather than the bloodstream, the ratio changes the formula more than it changes how you feel overall.
Follow the package directions. A common approach is a thin layer worked into the area, reapplied every few hours as needed, with a small patch test first if you have sensitive skin. Wash your hands after applying and keep topicals away from eyes and broken skin.
The total cannabinoids in the whole container, not a per-use dose. A 1000 mg balm spread across a jar used over weeks delivers only a small amount per application. Larger numbers mean a more concentrated formula, not a stronger sensation.
Yes. Because a topical stays local and does not add to the THC in your bloodstream in any meaningful way, it does not stack with the dose from something you eat or drink. Many people pair a balm with a low-dose tincture or gummy for the evening.
Cool, dry, and capped tightly; balms soften in heat and gels can separate. Most keep for a year or more unopened; check the date on the package. A balm that has gone grainy or smells off should be replaced.
